West Yorkshire North

Girlguiding West Yorkshire North is part of Girlguiding, the leading charity for girls and young women with over 500,00 members. Run by volunteers, encouraging girls and young women to achieve their goals and be the best they can be. We are one of 17 counties within North East England Girlguiging region. We are part of the largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women in the UK.

We cover the whole of Bradford, Keighley, Shipley, Bingley and Wharfedale with over 2000 girls and 500 volunteers. Our unit meetings offer a place for them to be themselves, have fun, make lasting friendships, learn skills and make a positive difference.

Rainbows

Age 4 to 7

Girls laugh, learn and have fun in a creative safe space. Play games and learn new skills whilst having lots of fun.

Earn badges.

Rainbow sleepovers are often the first step to a little bit of independence.

Brownies

Age 7 to 10

Girls have non stop fun and adventures whilst learning new skills, earning badges and developing new friendships.

Brownie holidays are a chance to get away with friends to have even more adventures.

Guides

Age 10 to 14

A welcoming space for girls and young women to be themselves. Plan your own meetings and have your say.

Make lasting friendships and spread your wings with even more adventures, both indoors and out or even abroad.

Rangers

Age 14 to 18

This is your space, put your own spin on your meetings. Its a time to have fun, learn even more, give back, relax and just be yourself.
